about the artist

german photographer arnd v. wedemeyer has lived in palma de mallorca since 2019. his journey to photography was an unusual one: driven by a lifelong passion for architecture, design, and aesthetics, he discovered the camera as his ideal medium only two years ago, having hardly photographed at all before then.

his work focuses on street photography and the art of the portrait, where he constantly seeks the authentic moment that tells a universal story. for his lens, well-known public figures and undiscovered faces from the street are equally captivating characters. this unique perspective, which finds the monumental in the everyday, has earned him international recognition in the global photography community and has already been honored with two awards in photography competitions this year.

deeply connected to his chosen home, arnd also supports the fundacio predator, a foundation dedicated to improving the living situations of disadvantaged children.

light, shadow, soul: the nit de l'art edition 2025

on the occasion of nit de l'art in palma, the night the entire city celebrates art, i am presenting a unique special edition of my most sought-after works. each image in this collection has been carefully selected to represent the essence of my craft — a tribute to the magic of light and the stories hidden in the alleys of palma and beyond.

to perfectly showcase the visual depth and emotional impact of each motif, a specific fine art paper from hahnemuhle, the world's most renowned manufacturer, was chosen for each image.

brilliant highlights and velvety depths come to life on the classic hahnemuhle fineart baryta, known for its museum-grade quality. other works unfold an almost three-dimensional, tangible effect on the subtly shimmering hahnemuhle photo rag metallic.

each artwork is carefully mounted on a stable alu-dibond panel. this gallery-quality presentation ensures maximum longevity and a modern, frameless aesthetic that directs the focus entirely onto the motif.

each artwork i am presenting on the occasion of nit de l'art 2025 is a unique collector's piece, created for this evening.

to guarantee its exclusivity, each motif is created in this specific execution only once, as part of my personal "nit de l'art edition." each work is therefore a unique piece of this series, designated as an edition of 1/1.

a work certified and signed by me as part of the "nit de l'art edition" will thus never be created again, even as i, as the artist, take the liberty of further developing my motifs in other contexts in the future. authenticity is confirmed by a numbered certificate of authenticity.
